X: Jana, I’m really excited to interview you because you’re one of the only Digital Playground girls I haven’t gotten to chat with yet.

Jana Cova: Oh, really? That’s cool!

X: What time is it there, even?

Jana: It’s a nine-hour time difference from L.A.!

X: Tell me a little about yourself

Jana: Well, I live in the Czech Republic, and I came to L.A. in 2000 and I started working there. I started doing the girl/girl scenes, and like two years ago, I signed the contract with Digital Playground.

X: What made you get into the industry?

Jana: I don’t know, I always wanted to be a model, but I was short for a professional model. My boyfriend at the time, he had a friend who owned the modeling agency here in Prague, so I started working with her. But I did only solo stills, no video, no girl/girl.

X: What was it like to do your first video scene with someone?

Jana: That was like five years ago, and it was with this girl named Natasha. I was scared because even though I knew I liked girls, I never had sex with a girl before, not even in my private life, so I didn’t know what to do with her. She knew that it was my first time so she was really nice and she did almost all the work… poor girl. The name of this movie was “Blue Jean Blondes 4.” But it was fun. I liked it.

X: Does your family know what you do?

Jana: Yeah, they do. They know what I do. Of course, they don’t want to talk about it, and they probably don’t know that I’m having sex with girls. But they know that I’m shooting naked pictures and stuff like that.

X: Did you used to watch porn?

Jana: I did. I did watch porn a lot with my boyfriend, but I never imagined that I’d be doing the same!

X: Since you were in Europe, were you familiar with any American stars?

Jana: Um, I saw a bunch of American movies, but the ones that I watched most were with Silvia Saint, and she’s from Czech, and then I worked with her too! She’s, like, my idol.

X: You only work with girls, right?

Jana: Yes.

X: Will you ever consider working with guys?

Jana: I don’t know. I always say, “Never say never,” but for now I don’t feel like working with guys.

X: Who are your favorite Digital Playground girls to work with?

Jana: I love Jesse Jane and Teagan Presley. They are my favorite ones. And now, our new girl Shay Jordan, but I’ve never worked with her. She’s super sweet. But we all get along really well.

X: Let’s talk about “Island Fever 4.” It must have been so amazing to make!

Jana: It was. First we flew to the Bahamas, but then there was some kind of problem with the location so we didn’t really shoot any scenes over there. Then we flew to Bora Bora, where we shot the whole movie. It was awesome. I’ve never been there before and it was just so beautiful.

X: Are you going to do another one?

Jana: I don’t know! I know they are planning to shoot “Pirates 2” this year.

X: Will you be in it?

Jana: Yeah, I will! The trailer is already up. I don’t know if you’ve seen it but, it should be bigger than the first one! So I don’t know if they will be shooting “Island Fever 5.” If they will, it won’t be this year. It will be probably next year.

X: You must be so excited about being in “Pirates 2.”

Jana: I am. I don’t know what kind of role they will give me, but I hope it will be a good one. I honestly don’t know if they will be joining with Adam & Eve again, but the first one was so good. I was at the premiere at the theatre in Hollywood, and it was awesome. Everybody was watching, but when it came to the sex, everybody started talking because they were more interested by the story because it’s a really good story!

X: It must’ve been weird to watch the sex scenes on that huge screen.

Jana: It was!

X: Let’s talk about you as a performer. If I were going to watch a Jana Cova scene, what could I expect to see?

Jana: For sure you will see me with some hot girl, playing around with toys or something. It’s always easy when they put me with someone like Jesse Jane. It’s always awesome to work with her because she knows what she’s doing, and she loves girls and makes it feel so good. It’s just easy.

X: I know you said that you had never been with a girl before your first scene. Do you have sex with women in your personal life now?

Jana: I do. Not that often, like I do with men, but I do. I really enjoy it. I love women.

X: Do you ever bring home hot chicks for your boyfriend?

Jana: No! He likes to watch me with other girls, but he tells me he doesn’t want to do a threesome. I don’t think I would do it either. I might get jealous!

X: What kind of sex do you have with the cameras off?

Jana: I’m much more aggressive. I like rough sex. With guys or with women… I wasn’t like that before I started doing movies. I was more sensual and stuff like that. The longer I’m in the business, I like rougher sex.

X: How rough are we talking here?

Jana: I like choking and all that! I like, well, not really hard bondage. I just like when I cannot move and the other person can do whatever she or he wants with me.

Jana: Of course! This happened like two years ago on my vacation in Croatia, and I was there with my boyfriend and we were on a beach and I saw this really hot girl. She was from Croatia and she was working as a waitress in some bar or restaurant, I don’t remember, but I do remember telling my boyfriend that I really liked her. So he came to her because he speaks that language and he told her that I liked her, and she was very interested in me. Then two days after that we just had sex on the beach.

X: Just like that, huh?

Jana: (laughs) Yeah! It was one big beach. I don’t care if anybody saw us!

X: Are you an exhibitionist at heart?

Jana: Sometimes. But when I first started doing movies, it was weird when someone was watching me having sex or even masturbating.

X: What’s something you haven’t yet gotten to do on camera that you’d like to do?

X: How much time do you spend in L.A. versus at home in Czech?

Jana: I used to spend half a year in L.A. and have a year here in Czech, but now with the contract, I’m usually [in L.A.] for like one month maybe every two or three months, so I’m there like three or four times a year.

X: What’s coming up next for you? Will you feature dance?

Jana: No, I love to dance, but I don’t think I’m that good that I could do feature dancing. I just re-signed my contract with Digital Playground for another year, and I will keep my website and keep working on it. Then… I don’t know! When my contract is over, I don’t know if I will still want to be in this business or not, but for sure, I want to keep my website.

X: You must love chatting with your fans online and at conventions, especially since you’re overseas so much.

Jana: Yeah, it’s fun. I love it, because I never go to conventions here in Europe, so the only convention I go to is AVN, and I love it because it’s big and wild!
