Eros Zine: You have an international background -- What are some of your favorite places in the world?

Jana Cova: Yes it's true. I have been in so many different places. My favorite is France; I love their culture, food and wine. The other is Bora Bora -- I've never seen more beautiful nature.

Eros Zine: What was it like growing up in the Czech Republic?

Jana Cova: I had a great childhood. Even when I grew up in communism and people didn't have lots of money, my parents made sure to take us for family vacations twice in a year to foreign countries, which wasn't that easy at the time.

I grew up in the country so I spent most of my childhood outside, playing with kids. When I was 19 years old, I moved to a bigger city and started in high school, and then I went to language school. I'm still living in the same city and I would never change.

Eros Zine: What was it like modeling in Europe?

Jana Cova: Unfortunately, I'm too short for runway. I started shooting some bikini in Italy and then the same photographer offered me some nude modeling work and I said "yes." I started really slowly working just by myself in softcore shoots. Later I started shooting for Viv Thomas, Clive McLean and others; photos only, no video. Thanks to my job I was in a different country every month. Then I realized I spent more time on the road than at home and I was tired of it and was ready to quit this job.

I received this offer to shoot for Stephen Hicks and I took it and flew to LA to do shoots with him. I'm glad I decided to go to LA and not stop modeling because I stayed longer and started working with the best model agent in LA, Cam Smith. We became best friends. After four years of working with Cam, for the best photographers and productions, I was preparing myself for leaving this business again and to focus more on my website. Then Digital Playground offered me a girl/girl contract and I said "yes" because they are the best company I ever worked with and they make the best movies and have the most beautiful contract girls.

Eros Zine: What was it like shooting Island Fever 4 in Bora Bora?

Jana Cova: It was a paradise and even better because I had sex with Jesse, Teagan and Sophia on the most beautiful beaches. The awesome thing was when me, Sophia and Scott Nails went scuba diving. It was fun and also the first time I swam with sharks and sting rays. First, I was scared because it was kind of scary to see so many sharks swimming below me. But the instructor told me those sharks don't eat humans so I believed him and jumped in the water. It was awesome. All the trip was lot of fun and you can see it on the behind-the-scenes video of Island Fever 4.

Eros Zine: You've been in a lot of Digital Playground's popular series -- what are some of your favorite titles and why?

Jana Cova: It's easy. My favorite title is Hot Rod for Sinners. I did my first scene with Jesse Jane. You know, Jesse has lot of energy, so before the scene I drank two Red Bulls and coffee. We had lot of heat and energy (thanks to Redbull) and it was one of my best scenes ever.

I love Jesse; she is hot and she knows how to fuck girls. Our scene was in this old warehouse on a wood floor. We both wore tight jeans, red bikini tops and red high heels. Jesse was sitting on the floor, playing with her lollipops, then I came to her and stole her lollipops and because Jesse likes sweets, she got mad, grabbed me and fucked the hell out of me. Eros Zine: Tell me about your very first scene.

Jana Cova: I did my first scene with a girl named Natasha. I was scared because even though I liked girls I never had sex with a girl before, not even in my private life. So I didn't know what to do with her when the scene started. But she was really nice and knew that this was the first time for me, so she did almost all the work; poor girl! The name of this movie is Blue Jean Blondes 4.

Eros Zine: In your opinion -- is there a big difference in the way that Europeans and Americans look at sex/adult entertainment?

Jana Cova: I'm not sure if Europeans are more open about sex and the adult industry. Some of them are and some of them are not. I think it's the same everywhere. For example, I went to get tested for HIV-STD here in Europe (we have to do it every 30 days) and the doctor looked at me like I'm some girl who fucks everyone and wasn't nice at all.

But when I need to go get tested in LA, there is a special clinic AIM and its really comfortable for me to go there because they are there for us. They know that 99% of people who go there are doing porn and nothing else. In this case, Americans are more prepared for things like this. In Europe there are no special clinics for this; you have to go to regular hospital to get tested. So I would think Americans are more open about sex/adult entertainment than Europeans.

Eros Zine: Have you always been comfortable with being naked for the camera?

Jana Cova: Not in the beginning. It took about two years to get really comfortable in front of camera. It helps me a lot when I work with someone who makes me look and feel sexy.

Eros Zine: What has being an adult performer taught you about your own sexuality?

Jana Cova: I am more comfortable and open with my sexuality since becoming an adult performer. When I started in this business I enjoyed being in front of the camera and being an exhibitionist but wasn't totally comfortable doing solo masturbation or girl/girl shoots. It was difficult to relax and not worry about the camera or positions or all the other people at the shoots. But I learned how to enjoy it and now it's easy. I like being watched and enjoy getting myself off.

Eros Zine: Do you have any fetishes?

Jana Cova: I like light bondage; that is probably the only fetish I have. What I like about light bondage is the feeling that I can not move and the other person (man, woman) can do what ever they want with me. It's kind of sexy for me.

Eros Zine: What's it like to work with such beautiful women? Do you have certain girls you like to work with? A girl that you feel a lot of chemistry with? Describe a scene where you think the chemistry was really hot...

Jana Cova: It's awesome to work with hot girls -- especially if the girls are petite blonds or brunettes with nice, natural bodies and gorgeous faces like Jesse's or Teagan´s. I couldn't choose a better job than working with hot girls.

I feel lot of chemistry with Jesse. Unfortunately, I've done only two girl/girl scenes with her so far and only one 4-girl orgy for the Island Fever 4. But she always gives me that look and I know I am in trouble. With Jesse in Island Fever 4, we did our scene on the beach wearing black bikinis and had wet hair. Eros Zine: If you could do anything you wanted in a scene or title - something different or wild -- what would it be?

Jana Cova: Well, I thought I would never do DP on camera, because this was something wild and different for me. But when I shot my next new movie Jana, Sexual Freak [scheduled for March, 2007] I did a girl/girl scene with Carli Banks. Jana Cova: Sometimes I do. My first movie for Digital Playground as a contract girl was Porcelain by Celeste. It's really nice movie, but I told Robby D. I would like to do some more hardcore stuff than I did in this Porcelain movie.

Since I said that, my scenes are more hardcore and I like it. They usually let me do things that I want to do.

Two weeks ago I shot my Deeper movie [not released yet] and I was so horny and really looking forward to using some cool toy for my solo scene. But then Robby D. gave me a lollipop to play with and I was so disappointed that he didn't give me a big toy. Second day of shooting, he brought me two black toys, so I forgave him.

Eros Zine: Porcelain was your first full-length feature -- was it a lot of work, doing a feature like that?

Jana Cova: I remember doing four scenes in one day. Two girl/girl and two solos; it wasn't that hard shooting the movie. We shot in beautiful locations with beautiful girls. What can be hard about this?

Eros Zine: What do you like to do off-set? Hobbies and interests? Do you have pets? Do you like to go shopping? Books or music or art? Favorite food?

Jana Cova: When I'm not working I love to cook, drive fast cars, Jet Ski, and shop - lots of shopping. Taking care of my little dog, Rej - he is one of the best things in my life.

I always like to read books; right now I read Da Vinci Code and I'm almost done; then I want to see the movie.

I like light food and having good wine. And once in a week, I have to have really good steak.

Eros Zine: What's an average day like for you if you're not working?

Jana Cova: I usually get up pretty early and go sleep early. Three days in a week I work out at my local gym. Then I usually have to run some errands. My house and my dog take lot of my time, but I love it. At night I usually hang out with my friends or family. I do regular things like this.

Eros Zine: Virtual Sex with Jana Cova releases this month -- what was that experience like? What do you think the fans will like most about it?

Jana Cova: I never shot anything like this so it was pretty new experience for me, but I had fun shooting my Virtual Sex.

Eros Zine: Do you have any plans for what you would like to do in the future? Would you like to do something different or just enjoy life?

Jana Cova: It would be nice to just enjoy life but everyone needs to make money. I'm not sure how long I will be in this industry but when I'm done I would like to have my own business and, for sure, keep my website.
